Kumaran Hospital is one of the old and well known hospital in Coimbatore .They we’re doing exceptionally well. But somehow they could not make the impact . Fees and other medicine and treatment related expenses are cheap but for any emergencies it may not be the right one

I admitted my dad in Covid ward at kumaran medical center. The various concerns we had regarding Covid care in each hospital was making us more worried. But, the experience we had in this hospital was satisfying . The staffs and the duty doctors were very much dedicated .Pulmonologist Dr.Nithilavalli needs to be appreciated for the concern and involvement she has in treating the patients.The various queries she answered to us made us felt that we have received the best care.Thanks to her and all the best for the entire team .

The nursing facilities in the hospital is highly appreciable. There are a number of freelancing doctors who can be consulted in the Kumaran building (next building to Kumaran Hospital). Care was very good - the nurses took round the clock turns to ensure that the patient is comfortable. Duty doctors were available all through the hours for any consultation and queries. Facility overall is average, there are only few AC rooms for admission. The building looks quite old from outside. We looked for cashless admissions as part of the insurance that we have, but couldn't do it as the admission was on a Saturday evening. It will be good if some of the operations can be automated (like insurance, buying medicines from pharmacy). There is a small canteen like facility selling tea/some snacks/biscuits etc - Since the hospital is in primary area in Coimbatore, we have access to restaurants nearby - This is probably a key advantage. They have labs for some basic tests (blood/urine etc), but we have to go to an external scan center for our tests.
