Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts & Science (KCLAS) was launched in 2019 is a premier college in South India that liberates the students to exercise his or her potential to the fullest. The Liberal Arts Education of KCLAS is a move towards broad-based undergraduate education accompanied by rigorous specialisation in chosen disciplines. KCLAS nurtures analytical, evaluative, critical and creative thinking skills which are foundational for careers. The vision of KCLAS is to become a progressive, research focused Institution that instills passion for life-long learning and mould young people to impact the world. This powerful vision is built on the foundational values of Respect, Passion and Progression. KCLAS offers nine undergraduate and post graduate programs through its four schools: School of Commerce and Management, School of Communication and Literature, School of Social Sciences and School of Formal Science. We attract students and faculty who are intellectually curious, independent learners, value honesty, collaboration, and are passionate about making a difference. Currently KCLAS stimulates and inspires the 470 students who are pursing different programs in the campus. KCLAS EDGE has been introduced as a unique model that nurtures the broad development of the students and maps a synergistic relationship among intellectual, emotional, social, physical, creative, aesthetic and spiritual potentials.KCLAS Edge is built on the model given by Jacques Delors to UNESCO - learning to know, learning to do, learning to live together and learning to be. Students develop these intellectual abilities and skills through immersion field studies, projects, internships, student seminars, international on-line courses, interdisciplinary workshops, entrepreneurial initiatives, community volunteering, fine art courses, foreign languages, international summer schools, parallel professional courses, value education, leadership council and student forums.
