Situated in the market at 8th Street Gandhipuram, parking is no problem. A bit crowded market, the Murugan Leaf Business occupies four spaces. They get full stem plantain leafs, suitable for Weddings and Pooja's & Homams. The next size is half 36"x24", Middle size 24"x24", Middle single 24"x15", quarter 12"x12" and small 9"x9" & 6"x6", each size for different customers like Hotels, Restaurants, Mess, packing flowers & foodstuff, and the mini size for serving chutney at stalls of Bajji, Bonda & roadside idli-Dosa-Omlette stalls. A visit in the morning you will witness a hectic activity of sorting out which stems go for which size. Four to five men sit to chop out the leaves to different sizes, while an assistant hurriedly stacks up sizewise. A must visit place, wholesale & retail. Very competitive prices, even lower than another shop in the same market. Murugan has been in the market since two decades.
