My partner is a long time local to this place, so there isn't much I can objectively say. The drinks were good, but the highlight was definitely the outdoor space - you'll have some of the best views of beautiful Coimbra this side of the river. Can't wait to go back there.

Definitely a bit pricey, but you are in fact paying for the space and it's variety. You have an amazing outdoor area, a study area, a library and a ventilated smoking area. All of these with an outstanding view towards the ruins of the old Santa Clara monastery and the city centre's hill.
Good place to hangout for a bit even if its raining outside. Not much staff but if you're a minimum patient it will all be fine.
Don't waste your money or time. Their products are sub-par and overpriced. Even their \tosta mista\ is made with the cheapest bread and a very small amount of inexpensive cheese and ham. The beer is way over priced compared to everything else. And yes, I am referring to even their \artisinal\ beers. Most expensive Erdinger in Coimbra, as far as I've seen. In my opinion, the only thing good about this place is the view. The decoration seems very \thrown together\. Not much thought put into it. An attempt at being \trendy\ and \hipster\. Definitely a tourist trap. I am an ExPat from NY living in Coimbra. I can see where they are trying to go with this sort of bar... But they fail in every aspect in my opinion. If the food was better, I could give it a better review ,but unfortunately... It's easy to see they are abusing their public. With a name like \galeria bar\ and any attempt at a hipster/artsy atmosphere, I would expect some local art on the walls. Even some expositions from time to time. Sorry, but out of all the places in Coimbra, this is the last place I would ever recommend.
Very nice place to have a coffee/ tea with cake, or a beer, or some cocktail especially during Saturday night listening to the music that is managed by Dj and with magic views to the Coimbra university and riverside.
Very nice atmosphere and design of the rooms. Great for a tea and afternoon chat with friends. Best coffee in Coimbra I ran into so far, though it is still not up to my standard (but I am a specialty coffee lover with high standards)
Excellent esplanada for a summer afternoon or evening coffee/tea/drinks with a historical view over a thousand years...
Cozy place, slow paced time spent there... Great to chill outside when the weather is nice. Great view too
