Good for kids
The Via Latina was built in the second half of the 18th century and is a part of the University of Coimbra. In front of it is the big statue of King John the third. Inside there is a museum with paintings, sculptures, and other historical artifacts.

Find out fabulous stories regarding this historic building! In spring, students in uniform gather around and take graduation photo. Go early in the morning to avoid group tourists.
Nice villa with impressive rooms
The tour 1 includes library, palace, church and science museum for the price of 12,5 euro for an adult. It is not expensive but the all three sites are overrated, basically it takes an hour to visit all three sites as they are relatively small. Library’s always crowded thus you may have to wait for admission that may occur in couple of hours from a moment you buy tickets. Additionally there may be a around 30 minutes line to the ticket desk but you can avoid it if go to the desk at the science museum. It is not allowed to take pictures in the most interesting halls of the library that is ridiculous. In general it is ok to see the university and museums.
Includes a hall with historical paintings and an exhibition that introduces contemporary Portugal scientists. You get a chance to glimpse into a Hall of Acts where ceremonies take place. The spirit of medieval university breathes all around you.
Least interesting part of the old University. If you pay for the complete tour it's included, but don't expect too much.
The most annoying thing here are the group tourists that flock and disturb the quiet serenity of the place.
Real beautiful open space, great view
