One of the best surprises when visiting Sintra/Colares area in October last year after being dissapointed by so many things in Colares. Even when I arrived just a few moments before they closed, I explained that they were on my list of places to visit and extremely nice waitress explained to me in English what was in which pastry, took my order and promptly I received some of the best pastries I had during my vacations with very nice cold coffee which they made to order. The place itself is very cute, clean, obviously loved by locals. I took some of the pastries with me and enjoyed them the next day. It would be my dream to visit again one day and stay for a few hours. Also have to point out that the toilets were very nice and clean (sorry for making them dirty with my shoes after the floor was wiped :() It is also very nice to just walk around later, nice surroundings with green areas there. Bus stop close by. I cannot believe this place is not yet on Tripadvisor...I might try to start it there. All the best to the pastelaria staff, take care guys. Eva from Czech Republic
Best place to drink coffe in Colares!
Offers sandwiches, salads and a variety of pastries. Staff are helpful and don't mind making combinations that aren't on the menu. We saw a lot of locals order a plate of beef, fries and fried egg which wasn't on the menu, but very popular during lunch. The location is right on a thoroughfare and has ample parking space on both sides of the road.
