In fact, the Hudson River line added the Cold Spring depot in 1893, serving both passengers and freight companies, and remained a train depot until 1954. Great place to go for burgers and french onion soup after a brisk hike along the Hudson River. Cozy atmosphere inside & I heard it was haunted Outdoor bar & patio dining available. Inside bar had glass dividers between seats to keep you socially distant.

To be honest the food and value are not the best. However, it's a great atmosphere and how many whistle stop cafes are there? If you're in town you have to eat there just for the novelty factor. Service was excellent and staff were very kind

Super friendly staff, fast kitchen, solid yummy pub fare, great beer list. Stop by after a hike like we did and you'll be well taken care of!

I enjoyed how they turned a former train depot into a restaurant. Nice ambience and even during post Covid arrangements, we were seated fairly quickly although there was a line out front. Food was pretty good. The service was excellent. If I'm in the area I'd come back. PS up the block there's an ice cream parlor that was pretty good too. Go there for dessert.

We sat outside and our table was sprayed but barely wiped down so everything was wet. My chairs had the remainder of what was on the table and dirt on it. Our server seemed inconvenienced when I asked him for a napkin to wipe it down and had to have someone else bring a napkin. Another person then sprayed the seats and wiped them down. Our server had the attitude that he couldn't be bothered and honestly came across extremely rude. Lacked any friendly type of attitude and never asked how anything was. Our nachos came out cold which was the icing on the cake. Fortunately one of the other male servers went out of his way to ensure that we had what we needed. In the process of sitting at our table we got to hear the hostess fighting with our super unfriendly server about seating arrangements. I understand with COVID things aren't easy, but this was such a fail. We opted not to order food based on how appetizers went & will not be returning if we ever visit cold spring again. Definitely wouldn't recommend & please talk to your server about some basic people skills.
