Great Sunday lunch served against all the odds by friendly staff. Beer good too. These are the pubs that deserve to survive.

Very good food. Not wanting a large lunch we opted to share 4 starters between the 2 of us. Scallops nicely cooked. Pate on toast was a good size. Fish sticks were crisp. Mushrooms on bread good too. My only comment would be for an expansion of the menu to include some lighter lunch options and less chip orientated meals.
Came here for lunch after reading outstanding reviews and it did not disappoint! Myself and husband had a full 3 courses and it was amazing! Such high quality food and fairly priced! All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the whole atmosphere was great! Dog friendly in the bar area which is always a plus.
Exceptional, we enquired at the forest retreat we where staying at, 'where we should go for something nice?' We were told the White Horse was nicer and more up market than the local pubs. It was perfect, delicious food and great service.
Just brilliant - absolutely fantastic meal. We visited for our anniversary and enjoyed friendly, casual service with superb food. Must go for anyone visiting the area
