Initially we were quite pleased. The service person came promptly, analyzed the problem, and said they would get back to us when the parts came in. After several days we called him. He said he couldn't check at the time, but would get back to us in a couple of hours, which he did not do. The next day, we called him again and after we explained who we were, he said that the parts had come and he would be at our house shortly to make the repair. He showed up, made the repair, but the dryer now makes a high pitched squeal that reminds me of my days working in a coal processing plant. He took the front off the dryer, looked inside and said he couldn't find what was making the noise, and said it would probably go away. He put it back together and left. My wife then came home from the doctor's office and told me that I should call him back and I did so. He came back, took it totally apart again. He then said he could not find the source of the sound. He said he even took pictures of the drum, but when he was done the squeal was still there. We can use the dryer. It works, but yesterday I wore earplugs while it was running. I felt like I was at the coal mine prep plant again. We have since called another repair service that hopefully can fix it so that it doesn't squeal. Does it work? Yes! Does it work properly? No! The finished product is not acceptable at all. At this point, I would like to give them a negative five star review, but I guess you cant do that! After viewing the reply, I guess this repair service thinks it's okay that a dryer squeals so loud I need earplugs and nobody can stand to be around when it's running. I guarantee that if the repairman is married, his wife would not run our dryer in their house sounding like it does. It may not have anything to do with his repair, but the point is that there is something wrong with our dryer and it needs fixed!
