I work here. Most of the building is behind a Federal security perimeter, so you need to be invited and escorted by a Federal employee to visit. There is a large auditorium and conference center with meeting rooms outside of the security perimeter, available for meetings. There is also a cafeteria on the premises that is outside the perimeter and can be accessed via an outdoor entrance. I keep kosher so I can only buy some drinks and snacks, but my colleagues seem to like the food.

The 9-16-17 Open House was very informative. Volunteers could not have been more congenial and knowledgeable. Security was impressive and organized. Visitor flow, and tour logistics were a challenge however. Not bad for first open house though. Lesson learned. Supply seating. (Do not even try to sit on a divider wall, that's frowned upon by security) Less wait time inbetween tours and smaller tour groups would work better.

If you go there, try to get into the library and see Science on a Sphere. VERY COOL

The auditorium is great for large meetings with 100 attendees --- comfortable leather seating, fold-out workspaces, and electrical plug ins at every seat are convenient. Security is tight here but the guards are patient snd friendly. Cafeteria has decent selections of snacks, beverages, and hot/cold meal offerings, and all prices are reasonable.

Security is high. Better be invited to the facility or you can keep moving. The cafeteria is great with fresh salads at reasonable prices.
