CONSUMER ALERT USED BUS BUYERS Look elsewhere if considering the purchase of a used bus from American Bus Sales. I learned for you the hard way. ABS takes the term \as is\ to a whole new low. ABS is also unresponsive after the sale. I contacted ABS one week prior to flying from the west coast to Oklahoma. We discussed my interest in an internet advertised coach. The only way to return home with a coach is for it to be driven across the country. ABS did nothing in preparation for the execution of the sale. Did not even check ANY of the fluids or tire pressures. Safety & integrity are obviously not core values at ABS. I stopped before nightfall for an inspection at a rest area. I caught the massive fluid loss. Had to dispatch a mobile mechanic. So I spent all night in a hot bus waiting. Got back on the road for a few miles. Had to stop at a truck stop (Loves thank you 5 stars) for more help. With the loss to the power steering system. Back on the road the next issue of overheating engine oil to 300 degrees and a DDEC computer override protection. Had to shut it down at an on/off ramp and sit for several hours letting it cool down. At this point I started coordinating my own inspection and repair just a few hundred miles away from ABS. I will complete the business you claim to be in and make it roadworthy. My dreams don't die that easy, I hope your used bus business does!
