Went into vote for the Victorian State Elections today (15/11/2018). Very professional service and high level of security. The person at the front desk was extremely help full with the voting process and this is the first time I am voting outside of Australia. Super easy and didn’t take more than 10 mins for the whole process. Early voting is one of many services the high Commision provides for people who cannot get to the vote on Election Day. Really happy with the service.

Australian government is raking in money offering Temporary graduate Visas. However most employers don't offer jobs to those who hold this visa. Don't waste time going to Australia with one of these visas. Most employers require PR to offer a job. Just be mindful of that.

Because of the Covid-19 crisis and Government imposed restrictions on the movement of foreigners, my husband and I had issues trying to secure a Curfew Pass to move from one hotel (which was closing down) to another hotel. My husband and I spent many hours contacting this department and that department, but were given contradictory information from every department we contacted. We even had hotel staff members - from the General Manager to the Accounts Clerk, to the driver - trying to assist in any way they could to get us this curfew pass.....but to no àvail. In a moment of total frustration and feeling emotionally drained, I decided to contact the AHC via email to ask for help. We didn't need charter flights, money, visas, or anything else. We just needed a Curfew Pass so we could get to another hotel so that we could have a bed to sleep in the following night. The response was almost instantaneous!!! The efficiency, the personal care and consideration, and the professionalism of the Assistant who helped us was 5 star!!! This lady made some phone calls and asked us visit the relevant Police Station the following morning for our Curfew Pass. Thank you for your help AHC, and thank you for hiring such a WONDERFUL Assistant. We have never needed Consular assistance in any of our previous travels, so we weren't sure what to expect. You helped us feel secure and cared for in a foreign land.....so thank you :)

in the srilankan office there is a lady called Nilma who is so stupid and use to refuse the visa, i guess the australian government should take actions on keeping cheap visa officers , they try to play with our future by giving fake decisions we, they try to play with our money . i guess they are not qualified or they work for bribes thats my intention i was so disappointed because i showed more than 10 million and still the visa was refused , how many people in srilanka are showing fake funds and fake documents but still they get the visa granted when we try try to be genuine you people take us into a joke i guarantee these visa officers in srilanka do not refer our documents properly because they give fake reasons, please dont play with students because its such a bad matter i guess atleast the australian prime minster should be aware regarding this matter , i have seeveral friends in australia and some buggers cannot evenn speak english properly , some go without IELTS i did ielts and every document was genuine but still the officer gave a stupid reason pls try to be fair if not its not good to that great nation ,i love australia so much i never wanna cheat by adding fake documents but today many people with fake documents get visa granted

Do not apply. They just refuse the visa. Australian government should review the recent applications
