This is the statue of Late D.S. Senanayake who was the first Prime Minister of Free Sri Lanka. Located in the Independence square. People come here to relax and to take pics and many more things. Views are good here. Anyone can be relaxed and have some me time or with family time and anything as you like. A good place to hangout.
Independence Memorial Hall was built to commemorate and the victory gained from the British rule in 1948. The construction process of this monument was started after the independence. The construction was empowered by D.S Senanayake who was the Prime Minister of that time and the statue was build for the service he has done towards gaining the independence.
This statue is located by independence square Colombo, sri lanka. Every people are able to find this place very easy. It's about 3.5km from colombo city. Lots of foreign visitors are coming to see this place. All the people can spent their leisure time without any hesitating.
