Recently, one of my orders of 20 tonnes of tor bar had been collected. According to the standard quantities for the weight, it seemed that approximately 350kg was missing although the dispatch clearly stated that it was 20 tonnes. I had brought this issue to the marketing manager, Mr Malith's, attention. To which he replied that your company had the best scale in Sri Lanka. He also assured me that I would be reached shortly by the factory. I was disappointed when the factory didn’t. The following day, I had called again and this time the Mr Malith apologised and said he will see to it that the factory contacts me. This again didn’t happen. He had also dismissed the situation, claiming that it wasnt part of his job. I decided to take matters into my own hands and contacted the factory. Mr siva told me that in a couple of minutes I will be contacted which didn’t happen again. By this time, I was annoyed by how no one was taking responsibility and not helping the situation. No one was willing to give me the chairman’s contact information either. After many calls, I finally received a call regarding the dispatch showing a shortage of 250 kg. My concern is that even with the best scale, your company failed to identify this shortage and it had to be addressed by our company when we didn't even have the equipment to measure this accurately. This review is not with the intent of bashing the company but rather to inform the chairman as no one would give me his/her contact information. I highly doubt that this the company’s fault and I think that the staff may be held accountable for this.
