I've been wanting to get in guitar lessons for some time now but had no clue on where to start. Brett messaged me and set up a time for us to call so we can discuss classes and what he offers. The passion in his voice just speaking over the phone with him made me so excited and eager to start learning! I didn't have a guitar and he offered to take me to a guitar shop and help on his own time! As soon as I arrived at his studio I knew I was in the right place. He told me some different options and let me try out an acoustic guitar vs an electric to see what would be best for me. After him explaining in detail the difference and advantages of each one, he took me to a guitar shop where he personally found something both in my budget and that was great quality. He got me a fantastic deal and we didn't go over budget! I was very happy that he listened to my needs and wants while also using his expertise to find what was best. We then went back to his studio where he spent more time telling me about his program, and how to take care of my guitar. I was a bit doubtful learning something new but after this one visit the doubt in my mind is gone. I found that I am in great hands and I can't wait for my first lesson! Update: I've been now going to Brett since September and I am seriously SO AMAZED of what I can do now. Every lessons is more exciting than the last because of the huge amount of growth I've made in this past few months. Brett has a way of explaining things so well, I never thought I would be able to play guitar but he proved me wrong, very quickly. This is so worth the investment, I have a new love for playing guitar and music in general and I can't wait to see where I am just even in a few more months from now..! If you're looking for someone to teach you, BRETT IS YOUR GUY!!!

Brett Funk is the only guitar teacher that got me to practice. His method of teaching and choice of songs/lessons are unique to the desires of each student. He breaks down techniques and theory so that it is easy to understand and reference. Not only is he an insane shredder, he’s a wonderful teacher and a beautiful person. Love the Funk!!
I’ve played guitar for about 8 or so years now and I don’t think I’ve ever been this excited to play and practice, I’ve had other guitar teachers what sets Brett apart is first of all he is incredibly talented, and he actually gets excited to teach you and wants to share his passion for music and guitar with you, he customizes your learning experience to you his methods make learning these things you thought where impossible simple, Brett has become a very good friend and I’ve learned so much from him already, very personable very talented, so thankful I found him and I would recommend him for all skill levels doesn’t matter if you’ve been playing for 30 years i promise you’ll learn something and have fun doing it.
I started taking lessons from Brett when I was about 12 or 13- being 31 now, I can tell you the lessons have been invaluable to my musical endeavors, which aside from work, consume the majority of my life and headspace. Brett reached out to me recently and I never got the chance to thank him for all the knowledge and experience Thank you dude! In other words, I wouldn’t hesitate- not in the slightest!
I started taking guitar lessons from Brett when I was just 8 years old, and in the past 12 years he has taught me everything I know about guitar and music, as well as becoming good friends along the way. He had the patience to teach me when I was a second grader, and the skill to keep me improving into the distant future. I can honestly say he is the best guitarist in the entire area, with an understanding of music to match. For a time he taught me music theory to go along with my guitar playing ability, helping me understand why music sounds and is written the way it is. If you want to learn how to play or how to improve as a guitarist, this is the only place you need to go. He gives such a high level of personal attention to each student during the lessons, making them improve faster than anywhere else. Thanks for all the years of playing Brett, and I'll see you soon.
