I choose Carolina Estate of Mine to help with the selling of the precious items in my parent's home. This project to me seemed overwhelming, but Carolina Estate of Mine organized, cleaned, tagged and advertised with such ease and professionalism. Their knowledge of all the items my parents collected over the years was of comfort to me as I knew they would be sold with a fair value which has not been my experience in the past with another auction company. To say the least, I am extremely pleased with this company and I highly recommend them. I have attended other Carolina Estate of Mine sales recently and continue to see the top notch quality I experienced!

I enjoy these estate sales. They are typically well organized and transactions are always smooth (they accept all major credit cards). But the last estate sale I went to, I purchased a pair of gloves. After getting them home and washing them, I went to try them on and realized they were the same hand. There were a few glove sets for sale there. They apparently didn’t check left and right pairs as they attached them together.

I called John with Carolina Estate of Mine months before I needed him. He came by and we went over our 4,800 squ ft home to assess what would be left (we were downsizing) to sell. He stated their commission, how the sale worked etc. We signed a contract. After the house sold, I called him and we agreed upon Nov 6-8, 2020 for the auction. About October 28th he called to say he was coming by for the key as we were moved out. When he and another associate showed up, we walked through the house to review things. At the end, they said, "I'm sorry, but we don't think there is enough here to have the auction. I was devastated and said tell me what is not here that we agreed upon. He said he reviewed the pictures, but when asked to show me he could not. I actually left a few things that were not on the list. I did sell ahead of time a pool table and train set, which I indicated I might at the signing of the contract. Mainly, because of the difficulty of getting the items out of the house. He then said, unless you have at least 20,000 worth of items, we really are not interested (first time I heard that). We had to scramble to get someone to handle everything in just 11 days. We lost thousands of dollars. We felt they just had a better opportunity between the time they agreed to the sale and when they arrived to pick up the key. BEWARE BEFORE YOU USE THEM: Perhaps make them put a list of the furniture attached to the sale agreement. But to leave anyone at this stressful a time out in the dark is beyond unprofessional. Just precede with caution.
