This store has gone down hill over the past year or so. It used to be that employees couldn’t shop the new items for a time period. Now they bring stuff from the back and checkout. It’s all the really nice stuff for only a few dollars. Much much lower than what they are charging the public- that just feels wrong. It’s usually the tall gentleman who wears a cowboy hat and used to take donations but now is a greeter. The older gray haired lady is always taking items to sell at her flea market booth and talking to other employees about it. While at the Jeff city location I commented on the selection at the Jeff store compared to Columbia and the lady confirmed the employees are shopping before it goes it to the public. Something needs to change. It used to be a fantastic store. Now it’s just a junk shop with no selection.

Products are nice.
The store is nice and clean. They have a great selection and the prices are good. However, this is my third time inside the store and all three times the staff was either unfriendly or didn't communicate well. Here's our latest experience (01/19/2021 @ 4:10pm)... Me: Do you guys do a 48-hour hold? Cashier (Milah): No, we can only do a 24-hour hold. Me: Okay, will you please hold these shoes for us until tomorrow about this time? We'll swing by after work to pick them up. Cashier: Well, I can actually only do the hold if it's the same business day. *quick discussion with my husband* Me: I have a meeting at 7:00 tonight but can be here before you close. What do we need to do to have the shoes held for us until I get back? Cashier: So, you're going to leave the store? Me: Yes, but I will be back tonight. Cashier: I can only hold them as long as you're still in the store and it's the same day. So, like if you come in early one day and shop all day, I can hold them while you're shopping but it has to be the same day and it has to be while you're in the store. Me: So you can't hold them? Got it. Ugh!!!!
Nice, clean, large store but my luck has not been great here.
