I am visiting Moberly, my birthtown.. Living in Dallas since 1969, i've been to my fare share of grocery stores. This store is in my top 3. Excellent staff, beautiful store, and excellent choices. This is the store to shop when in Columbia Missouri
RATS IN THE STORE. I noticed there have been rat droppings and shreds around the store. I saw a bag of potato chips with nips on the bag. Shame for there to be rats everywhere. Also bought their \gourmet\ cinnamon rolls. it was raw on most of the roll, and more frosting than roll. bakery needs to work on it because most of their items come out either overbaked or underbaked.
Today I decided to do a curbside pickup order. I arrived on time at 4:00 p.m. I use the text service to notify them of my arrival. after waiting what I felt was a reasonable amount of time, 15-20 minutes or so, I contacted their customer service inside the store to check up on my order. I was notified that they were finishing up gathering my stuff and that they would have it out to me shortly. I ordered some beef bones, oregano, rosemary, a beef roast, some corn flour, and maybe one other item that is slipping my mind at the moment. All items were said to be in stock online. after waiting another 15 minutes or so I decided to check my order online and noticed that pretty much everything was suddenly out of stock and that they were adjusting my order. Since they were not able to actually fill my order I tried contacting their customer service again. I spoke with one gentleman first who put me on transfer to go to their aisles online department and when I was transferred there the lady that I spoke with after I informed her I would like to cancel my order she immediately hung up on me. Since I was already at the store I figured I better go inside and make sure the order was canceled. I went up to their customer service informed the lady that I had spoken with over the phone as she happened to be at the customer service desk that she had hung up on me. The floor manager Daniel came up at this time and assured me that he would cancel it he vaguely apologized for his employees poor customer service and tried to assure me that she was the nicest person in the world . I understand she probably did not mean to hang up on me it happens still this overall experience was absolutely atrocious. I would not recommend using their curbside pickup for any groceries save yourself the time go inside you can take an extra 20 minutes if just wandering around it will still be faster then them trying to come out with seven or eight items for you.
Lots of options here, especially when it comes to the prepared foods; their sushi is fresh and tasty, as well are their breakfasts. The variety of (cold) takeout options is also great. Very helpful to grab when I'm busy.
