This is the WORST set up for medical care I've ever experienced!!! JHU refuses to send a medical request for records to my provider. My provider states that since JHU is requesting the records they need to request it. I was just seen as a new patient in their Odenton office yesterday and signed a bunch of paperwork for release of records. Why can't these be used??? Why is it IMPOSSIBLE to reach anyone in the office where I was seen??? I spent over 2 hours today on hold trying to speak with someone to follow through with the JHU's doctor's referral. It's like a National holiday for JHU call center - NO ONE is answering the phone in less than 30 minutes and when they do answer, the information given is erroneous! Shame on you JHU for putting up so many obstacles in a patient's path to medical care especial since one of your doctor's referred that care. My advise to potential patients is go anywhere else to reduce the stress and anxiety you will experience when deal with JHU!

If I could give a lower rating I would. The phlebotomist was GREAT but when I inquired two weeks later about my results, the person I spoke with was rude. They claimed it's impossible to get results without going through my dr. At other labs I am able to easily log onto their portal system and get the results on my own. I believe in being my own advocate and find being able to review my own bloodwork to be critical in that process. Only went for convenience but will go out of my way next time. I even use the Johns Hopkins portal and even though this is supposed to be Johns Hopkins medicine, they don't post the results like all of the rest of the hospital and affiliates.
I went to they blood work done at the lab in the basement at the pavilion building. The lab tech Denise N. Was very unprofessional and disrespectful (ghetto). She didn’t care about my privacy in front of all the patients who were in the waiting area. I’ll never use this lab again.
Do not trust Dermatologist Chien. Although I was a returning patient, I had to wait MONTHS for an appointment. When I requested the appointment, I made it clear the appointment was to request a very specific and named medication. I drove 60 miles to get there from work only for Dr. Chien to re-examine me to ensure my condition had not changed in the months since she last examined me and then began citing a slew of bogus reasons that she had no intention of prescribing the medication I requested. She finally said that the real reason she does not prescribe the med I asked for is because it is too new and may have side-effects that might not have been discovered yet. She knew long before I made the appointment that she was not going to prescribe the medication, as she also knew that was the only reason I made the appointment. I hope she and Johns Hopkins chokes on my 40 copay.
Nice couches 10/10 would nap on again
