I loved my stay at the hospital, I met life long friends and also made lifelong memories. I never knew just how similar I was to that of my fellow peers. When they make you change your clothes and put on the psychiatric ones with only socks and no shoes. It is really humbling. I never knew that girls and boys my age also had the feelings I had. But I will admit that I was put on alot of medicine that made me suffer and shake. But at the same time it made me look at myself for what I really am and not just my ego. Also it is very nerve wracking to not know when and or if I will be released or thrown away forever. But also they had fun playing basketball in the basement and drawing pictures with the other kids. We would also watch movies and talk to one another So I conclude that if only I had I choice of when I leave and what medicine I take. Then this would be a perfect hospital to join in times of mental crisis. But they do try and make this place as fun and educational as can be. That I appreciate and the love from my peers lives in my memories. Once I was so shaking and suffering from the medicine that they put a needle in me that made me go to sleep, so I appreciate that I hope all of you are super well and good to one another Thank you all for trying to help me and I hope that all of the patients get better and are freed and go into society and do the right things Much love 2/5 time patient of this particular Psychiatric hospital

People go here because they need HELP...have found them to be less than responsive to concerns, unwilling or unable to communicate and anxious to get people out the door rather than get them the help they need. Our community needs better services than this....our community DESERVES better.

Hello, if your a suicidal teen in Missouri. Please know that this place is not the answer, they are rude. Please keep looking for better hospitals cause this one is not it. Keep looking, keep your head up. When I find a cheap one in Missouri I’ll update you! Until then.. there’s hope. Ilyy so much, be safe.

The doctors and the staff here helped me so much. They listened to me and offered help, always giving me the choice to take it or not. I was here while experiencing psychosis and they never tried to tell me I was crazy.
