updating my review - 2 stars to 1. I'm trying to cancel an appointment and have been on hold for 15 minutes without an opportunity to leave a message or anything. It's sad, because we really liked the doctor. While the doctor is wonderful...very thorough and kind...there were some problems. The lady who works in the office scheduled him for 2 appointments at the same time. Fortunately we arrived first and only had to wait 45 minutes. The other person had to wait until we were finished, but because the doctor is not rushed at all, that was another 30 minutes for her. When she asked the office person about it, there was no apology. Just a smile and a 'there's only one doctor' reply. At the visit, the doctor wanted my mom to have a specific medicine, but he neglected to tell us that it was only available by prescription. He didn't write a prescription either. Twice we've tried to call back to ask about it and have been put on hold forever until now we've given up. So we will be going elsewhere next time.

I feel like I was on a terrible hidden camera show. I arrived 10 minutes early and after waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time I asked the receptionist as to when my daughter would be seen. The response was \Some people have no patience\. I stated that one of the posted signs reads to let the front desk know if it's been longer than 30 minutes. I was given a lot of attitude for asking when we would be seen. Another sign reads that if you miss your appointment, they will charge you 25. When I asked if that policy works both ways, she threatened to call the Richland County Sheriff Department and she got even more upset when I said please do. This is only funny because there are other options in town. The good news is that economy must be incredibly strong if people like this are employed.

Waiting in the waiting room for more than an hour for a scheduled appointment. Even though the wait was extensive, my mother absolutely loved her podiatry experience and looks forward to continuing treatment at Northeast Podiatry. Attention to detail and good bedside manner trumps speed of service.
