Made a payment and put it in the designated Dropbox as told by the person standing there. Waited two weeks-no update to tax payment online. Called and was put on hold for 30 minutes as they tried to FIND my payment was told I would have to call back Monday to speak with someone else. Called Monday no answer called Tuesday and spoke with someone that said she did not know where my payment was but that I needed to get the cashier check number from my bank so that they could track it to see if someone deposited into their bank. I asked, so y’all have misplaced/lost my payment? Was told No it’s just not here and it could have been credited to a different/wrong acct. was told I would receive a call back. Never received one—had to call 4 separate time to actually speak with someone. Was told that someone else was supposed to call my back the previous day. Once the deputy treasurer actually got to the phone (the lady I was supposed to receive a call from) she insinuated that the payment was never dropped off and that I needed to resubmit the payment because they had no idea where the check ended up. I have never been more frustrated with an organization how do you lose a check that was placed in the correct box then insinuate that we never placed the check?!?!

Spoke with a female who did not state her name after I waited for 32 minutes on the phone.... She was rude and would not let me finish my question. Once I kindly put her in her place she did what was asked of her...her job... The Richland County Treasury office needs to hire people with a professional attitude. If the person answering the phone doesn't like their job then find someone that will be happy to take that job.
Tried multiple times to contact via email with no response. Their physical location is closed. It's nearly impossible to get answers or help from this department.
Customer service is terrible during pandemic of COVID-19 you cannot physically go to building so u hv to call and go online the time is ridiculous like hours the machine hangs up even the reps they have the worst attitudes
No one answers the phone, hours are never updated, workers have nasty attitudes. Please work somewhere else where you don't have to interact with people.
