I had an appointment yesterday for my 9 month old son who was born 3 months prematurely. It was just a checkup, it lasted 2 hours which was ridiculous since it was supposed to be just a checkup from the NICU. On top of that, I had asked Dr. Stroud about getting blood work done because my son bruises easily and she agreed and told me to contact his pediatrician to get the blood work done. She then proceeded to ask if there was any abuse in the house, which I understand but there’s not. Fast Forward to today, Child Services is at my door. They wanted to know about abuse in the household. He was a very nice gentleman, listened to everything I had to say. None the less, I will not be coming back to Dr. Stroud or the Thompson Center for any of his future appointments.

I love taking my son here. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. They always listen to what your concern are and give great advise. They make there patient there number 1 priority and are even there for the parents. I highly recommend this facility.

The doctor wanted to do something very painful to my newborns eye when her eyes were totally fine and confirmed from her primary doctor I told him I didn’t want my daughter going through that when her eyes were fine he got very angry and argued with me when I left he called child services on me and I had to go through a case for a couple months until they dropped it saying I was a fit mother DO NOT GO HERE if you disagree THEY WILL CALL ON YOU when they have a nurse there to hold my child down because it hurts and the numbing drops don’t take all the pain away NO ONE WILL TOUCH MY CHILD THERE EVER AGAIN

Today was a long day. We have waited so long for an appointment we have heard nothing but the best about this facility. Doctor Connie Brooke's was fantastic. We were treated with the utmost respect since we walked in the door. Speech therapist and occupational therapist were great and the day for my son couldn't of went better he thought of it as playing with new friends. We loved how more thorough they were compared to anouther facility in St. Louis. We can tell that everyone there truly enjoys there job and cares for the children they work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone with questions or even just a second opinion like we needed. Overall it was clean and pleasant experience a long waiting list but we'll worth the wait.
