Have been renting a storage unit at this location for about 6 years and have never had an issue. I've even rented a truck from here twice when I needed to move some things. The staff has always been helpful. I'm not very familiar with the new manager but the old one, Deborah, was awesome. I could call her anytime if I had an issue with getting into the property or my unit.

I've rented many trailers from this place always good experience, even motorcycle trailer a couple of times, today I needed a trailer so I set up a reservation and went there, the \GM\ was unknowledgeable and wouldn't rent me my trailer because she feels the chains weren't in a good spot , it's BS won't be doing business with this location again!! Edit: went to another U-haul with no issues. GM at this location obviously doesn't know what she's doing.
Friendly service lady. Plenty of trucks to choose from. Truck worked great....no problem at all.
Deborah is absolutely fantastic! Her commitment and dedication to going above and beyond in service to her customers is evident in her communication, demeanor, and demonstrated by her actions. She is extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and seemingly always available when any need arises. I had an amazing customer experience which I know is not over yet. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity of experiencing this U-Haul location and I highly recommend it to anyone who is in the Columbia South Carolina area. I can’t say enough about how important these types of customer service experiences are and what they mean for all companies and the customers who are seeking service that genuinely seeks to HELP. I don’t know if anyone genuinely enjoys moving....I don’t... but Deborah went above and beyond doing everything she could to not only relieve stress that already existed, but also to provide joy in the experience which is everything you can ask for in any customer experience. Thank you. :)
Be prepared for double charges! If you are renting a storage unit from UHaul you pay up front. When you leave, REGARDLESS of what day of the month you leave you are still charged the entire month. No pro-ration. Essentially you are paying for storage you're not using once you vacate. And according to Thomas at their customer service call center this is a nation wide policy, so you can feel good about knowing they screw the entire nation & not just Columbia, SC!
