Turned up last minute whilst me and wife had our dog with us - Even though sat outside staff came out to check on us loads of times seeing if we wanted anything. Nothing too much trouble. Food was very good and my wife commented how clean it was. We really enjoyed it and will go back for sure.

Always a good choice coming here, never fails to disappoint. Staff are always friendly. We arrived without a reservation and didn’t think we would get a seat with eat out to help out being on, but the 3 of us managed to get a table outside. I got the chicken fajitas and honeycomb frozen custard. Portions are great sizes and delicious food. The BBQ pulled pork and steak is also great. Something sweet is on the chips too which is delicious.
Wouldn't have been my first choice, but it was daughter's birthday so she got to choose. You kind of know what to expect from chain restaurants these days, and Hickory's pretty much lives up to that. A wide choice on the menu, food passable, prices a bit on the high side, portions a bit on the small side, fairly decent service from enthusiastic but relatively inexperienced young staff. Tick. The 'headline' of this visit, though, was being served chicken which was so badly cooked that there was blood oozing out of it when it was cut into. That's just inexcusable. Surely one of the first things you learn at catering school, on day one of the food hygiene course, is that you can't muck about with cooking chicken if you don't want your customers going home ill? I guess whoever was on food-defrosting duty at Hickory's last night didn't turn up to college on that day. Had it not been for the 'chicken incident', I'd probably have scored them 3 out of 5. Had the front of house staff not been so apologetic and dealt with it so well, it would've been a solid 1. So here we are. 2 out of 5.
Love going here! The last time we went it was really busy and they accidentally gave me the wrong main course. I wasn’t bothered as it was busy so I just asked if I could swap it for what I asked for and the manager took my main off the bill. They were so nice and friendly. The food never disappoints.
Half rack of BBQ glazed ribs, yeah! But the fries... ohhh fries... they were amazing! If you are fancy American food, I'm recommending this place! Place looks great and serves very good food.
