Gara Comarnic se incadreaza in arhitectura garilor montane traditionale din Romanaia. Traficul feroviar intens se datoreaza pozitiei sale, fiind asezata pe magistrala Bucuresti Brasov, unul din cele mai aglomerate trasee, atat din punct de vedere comercial, cat si turistic. Din gara Comarnic poti avea acces spre localitatile mai izolate, SOTRIILE si TALEA. Localitatea Comarnic a scazut ca importanta industriala incepand cu deceniul 1990-2000, dar a inceput sa creasca moderat ca oras turistic si de pastrare a traditiilor romanesti.
