I grew up in a house with Proud Lake access and also used to come here as a kid. Today I brought my 2 kids here and it's a great spot to swim with calm and clear water. Also saw a large catfish and bass swimming under the bridge. A hidden gem.

Love this place! Great trails, nice swimming area, fishing and more! I have been coming here for 30 years and still find new things!
One of the greatest bridges of all time
This is a popular spot for fishing and swimming, there is a small dam, a wood bridge, and and canoe/kayak walking access to the river. The stream is normally gentle and shallow and is common to see families and kids playing during the summer, there is also a couple of public grills nearby. this is a good starting point to take an easy, kids friendly kayak ride that can be completed at Proud Lake Area Canoe Launch as the whole ride is mostly shallow and smooth.
So much fun!!! Great times with family... cant wait to go back!!
