Went as a new patient to see Dr.Old, but never once saw him. I informed them I was having a gene screen at another facility and called back to find out about my medications I was told they wouldn't allow them because I went to another clinic. I think they really need to work on their communication with patients. I'm sorry not everyone has COVID, BUT ALL PATIENTS SHOULD STILL BE A PRIORITY. Maybe the county should put more money into Ark City health dept where everyone is kind, courteous, and supportive.

Had gone to this clinic and their sliding scale definitely helped out a para like me who is paid low wages. Dr. Old is incredibly nice and helpful. With that being said, they have adopted a policy during COVID stating that even if you have a medical reason (high risk condition) that makes it unsafe for you to return to the workplace, that they will not assist or write a note stating that concern. The receptionist simply said “Oh well you’ll be fine if you wear a mask. We just won’t write a note for you.” Keep in mind that I have severe asthma/allergies, have steady sinus infections, as well as a weakened immune system. I was previously hospitalized for several weeks when I contracted pneumonia. I have legitimate medical reason not to return to work. I miss working with the kids and would love to return to my job once it is safe, but Community Health Center has forced me to make a choice between my career and my health. The absolute lack of human empathy and medical concern makes me wonder if there has been a deal made with the school system so that they don’t have to allow employees with health concerns to maintain their position. It is a tactic to force unhealthy workers back into the job. Completely unprofessional for a medical clinic. I’m disgusted with this place.

They do their best to squeeze you in if you don’t have an appointment, Dr. Jerry Old is just amazing, as soon as he examines you he finds out what’s going on with you. I have no complaints about this community health center. The receptionist, nurses, the whole staff is amazing.

Friendly inviting people. They squeeze you in as much as they can. Knowledge staff that truly care.

If you can get past the hateful, hostile and obnoxious female at the reception window, good luck. She proceeds to read your mail addressed to the DR and give you her opinion as she sees it without consulting the DR. She is a gossip and discusses your business with people outside that organization whom are not privileged to your medical records which are violations of Hipaa and patient doctor confidentiality. I complained to the CEO but she is still there. I guess they will have to pay dearly through the nose to keep her there before they wise up and get rid of her. She is bad for business.
