not the best experience i’ve had with a counsellor. first thing she told me was “someones mad at dad” as SOON as i came in her office just because i didn’t want to sit next to my dad. she as well didn’t seem to want to see my point of view and solely take my dads side. not to mention she tried to charged my mother for the appointment my DAD made. i would not recommend her for family counselling.

I've been seeing Mary Ann off and on for about a year and half now for a variety of things and continue to do so. She has always been energetic, encouraging, honest, professional, realistic and supportive. When you walk into her office you can tell that she works hard to provide a safe and comfortable place to express your feelings. She genuinely cares. She will gently challenge you both in session and outside with homework in between sessions. Mary Ann has great recommendations for books as well. I am very grateful that our paths crossed when it did, as I would still be stuck in life without her guidance and support.

I have seen Mary Ann many times over the last 15 years. She has been particularly helpful in supporting me through my sobriety journey. More recently I saw her a couple of times to help me through the death of a family member. She expects you to do some work between appointments so if you are looking for someone to magically fix you without doing any work yourself she is the wrong counsellor for you. I have enormous respect for Mary Ann’s counselling skills and I’m grateful for all the help she has given me over the years.

Ms. Rolfe has always been professional and consistently competent. Working in mental health for the past 11 years has taught me that it is impossible to please everybody. Save your money if you are having real issues with your relationship or anything really. It’s hard to watch but it’s powerful and it will help. No matter the situation or severity. I wish no ill will only progress on all who want it.
