First visit since the lock down and reno. Very nice lounge with VG COVID protocols in place. Menu looked great with lots of satisfied patrons indulging or leaving with take out. Good service. Worth a visit, open to the public.

open door policy now so no more card required to enter or membership dues necessary, however, one thing your membership does give you is a regular email which tells you in advance of upcoming events, some of which are quite popular and sell out early so advance notice means you get in. they have hosted many nice events and lots of dinner dances, often with live music. periodically they also have members only contests. RCL contributes to local groups regularly so your membership dues are well spent.

This is a place that cares about there regulars. My best friends dad was a regular there. One of the bartenders, Paula, made sure the efforts were made for a plaque to be placed at his favorite seat. We went there today to celebrate the placement of the plaque and the same bartender brought a special bottle in to share in honor of my best friends fathers passing. This is a place that cares about the people who spend time there. A real treasure in the community.

A welcome surprise came to Courtenay Elementary School Parent Advisory Council. The warm hearted Legion Ladies have once again fostered early literacy for under-privileged children by awarding PAC with a cheque for 200 to put towards new books for our school children. Thank you for caring and sharing with Courtenay Elementary School. Our kids deserve and need this kindness. Ladies, you make a difference. Respectfully, Kindle Parsons, parent at Courtenay Elementary School.

Could really use some elbow grease. RCL is fading away because it will not keep up with the times.
