Great food and a rich variety of wines, gathered with the type of well receiving that can only be genuine.
Great fish and meat dishes, cheeses and salads. Ordered the razor clam and shrimp risotto-style dish for 2 is excellent and, to be honest, the portion would easily have fed 3. The passion fruit and mango mousse was to die for. Unfortunately they had run out of a lot of the starters . Will definitely go again
Went with a large family group. Staff were friendly. Food was excellent. Fresh fish, top quality steak. All reasonably priced.
The food was fresh and very good, price reasonable for London standard however probably overpriced for Portuguese standard. No reservation so prepared to wait unless you turn up at 7 as it opens, waiting list long and was told my name was called multiple times when it wasn't and in the end waited over an hour and a half. Seems to treat locals favourably than foreign visitors, two brothers seem to run the place who were pretty dismissive, other waiters were quite hospitable but seems to be more friendly to locals. They were offering starter platters to other tables except ours. They didnt come over even once to ask how we were doing, no offer of desert. Food was good and all appeared very good from the outside so surprised of the low service quality. Hope they treat foreign visitors the same way they treat the locals. A bit of a shame.

The place was redone and it looks really nice. The consequences of that is that you have overpriced dishes and bad service. Food is quite good but be prepared to pay almost 20 for typical Portuguese dishes that you can easily find for almost half all over Portugal. Do they realize that 5 star hotels charge these values for top dishes? Also be prepared to wait. 2 waiters only for the whole restaurant that may fit around 80 people. How can you charge 39 for a Massada de Peixe and have such service? If you want to try typical Portuguese good you will get it there for sure. Just be prepared for a overpriced bill and some waiting.
