We've had excellent experiences at Holy Trinity School. The entire community has been warm, welcoming, and kind to our son and our entire family. Academics are wonderful and the overall culture is excellent. Administration, staff, and teachers are all second to none. I say this having experiences related to at least 10 other private and public schools in the Greater Grand Rapids area. For both educational and religious reasons I would 100% recommend Holy Trinity to other families.

When we left we kept silent. We left before finishing eighth grade. As kids get older class sizes got smaller. There were problems finding friends, students isolating and cutting out classmates and bullying. It was hard for my child to be targeted at times and witness others as targets. Teachers complained of recess problems and classroom discipline. There are great families and others that had disrespectful, disruptive kids. One child along with the parents found an unsecured access door, entered and assaulted the gym teacher in the presence of students. Several families pulled their kids during the school year over the years we were at the school. We almost left in the middle of the year but decided to stick it out. It was a mistake. My child was miserable in the morning dreading the school. The principal was not productive. There was no follow-up. I felt sick having volunteered so much time and wasting so much money at this school. We found a good Public School that has teachers trained in STEM and Robotics classes and clubs. The public school offers extracurricular activities like sewing Club, Art Club, Garden Club, Sports clinics, theatrics and plays an impressive auditorium. My child builds and codes robots and competes with other schools. Holy Trinity never offered comparable classes or clubs. It's not like what Holy Trinity calls building a snowman as STEM. We would never have know untill compelled to compare.

We have been thoroughly pleased with the authentic Catholic education that our children have received at Holy Trinity. We have 1 student who has graduated from HT and is now a freshman at West Catholic. His freshman year has proven the value of his HT education. He has been very well prepared to succeed at the high school level. We also have 4 children still at Holy Trinity. The teachers and staff are extremely dedicated to teaching and growing the whole person, spiritually and intellectually. Additionally, the tuition is extremely reasonable for a private education. We would highly recommend anyone looking for a quality education for their child to consider Holy Trinity.

I had the opportunity to substitute teach at Holy Trinity. The staff and children demonstrated a true knowledge of Jesus and the Catholic Faith. They were friendly, happy, considerate, and welcoming. Definitely not the words I would use to describe children in most schools I have visited throughout my career. As an educator I know the hard work and dedication it takes to work in a private school. As a parent I know that it is not the teacher's responsibility to teach my child how to be a good Christian. That lesson begins at home. I teach my children to choose Jesus as their role model and mentor. If you question what is being taught at this school regarding sin, perhaps you should read the bible or discuss your concerns appropriately with the teachers you feel have misled your child. Social media is not the place to air your grievances. It's childish and not at all in line with what the church teaches.

We started our oldest out at Holy Trinity almost 10 years ago in preschool not knowing if we were going to stay or not. It definitely was not an easy decision whether to stay or go to a different school for kindergarten. My husband and I both attended public so we knew the difference and the options we were weighing. Long story short, we will be enrolling our fourth child into kindergarten next year and could not be happier. Our four children each have different personalities, challenges, strengths and weaknesses and Holy Trinity accommodates every single one of them. From the lazy genius to generalized anxiety disorder to multiple rare diseases with doctors appts and getting behind in work to our 3rd year in preschool and I think we are finally ready to move on, we have never once questioned our choice to send our kids to this school. Smaller class sizes. More individualized attention. A community/family like feel every time you are there. Above national average test scores. Above all, instilling a firm foundation and belief in love and respect for all living and non living things, especially God.
