Attended the Collegiate Challenge gymnastics meet last Saturday. If it were possible to give this arena a negative rating, I would do so. I would guess attendance was 3,000 to 5,000. They knew how many tickets were sold. Yet, only one food stand was open in the arena (it had only two cashiers), which created long lines. It took so long to pay for the food, that the burgers got cold and we missed much of the gymnastics meet. Hamburgers were 8 (normal for arenas) but instead of large dispensers of ketchup and mustard, they had small bottles of these condiments that were empty and no food service person was ensuring they replaced the empty bottles. The men's bathroom near my seats ran out of paper towels midway through the event and was not refilled when I visited the restroom after the meet. The techno pop music was so loud I felt like I was being assaulted for three hours. Geez...turn down the volume. Overall, the negative experience of this arena overshadowed the performance of the great gymnasts. Move this event to a better managed venue next year.
