Ata is a con! They are not the quality they use to be! They just want money. You must sign a 200 a mth contract plus your consantly buying there weapons that are cheaply made! Plus the belt ranks aren't earned they are purchased! Its very costly and you get less experience here then other places you can train for much cheaper!!!!! Take my advice look around and don't go to ATA!!! You have been warned!!

My daughter won 2 months of free classes so we decided to give martial arts a try. The class was fine, instructors were courteous and friendly. We liked the idea of her learning self defense and instilling more confidence, which I believe the program would deliver. However, the sales pitch at the conclusion of the free class was quite a turn off. Any time someone demands you sign up today, right now or walk away, I believe walking away is the best option. We asked for time to consider our options.... He just kept pointing out the benifits and asking how "we'd like to take care of that today". I don't deny the benefits, nor am I saying this isn't a good place to learn martial arts. The instructors I saw were friendly and seemed knowledgeable and the kids I encountered were polite and looked happy. While I personally thought the price was a bit excessive (6 hours a week of dance lessons were less expensive than 1 hour a week at this place) it was mostly the sales pitch that had us walking away. I would recommend you do your research on other martial arts schools in the area before going into this place to make sure it's where you want to be. We were not invited to finish out our 2 free months. o) Easy come, easy go.
So let me say I think they probably do have a good program, but be prepared to be in a contract for a year of services. The owner, Nick Hurley, is a very good salesman. I mean notice the five star review he gave his own business...shady. He could probably be earning top dollar at a used car lot, but has instead found his calling in the world of martial arts. He will draw you in with a free class and then talk like crazy about the program only stopping long enough to ask you how you would like to pay (car salesman). You will be paying 200.00 a month on top of the sign on fee (97 for us which was luckily 'on sale' from 450.) Don't worry they are all very generous and will write in a 30 day opt out, but you will lose out on the money you put down for the month even if you decide the next day to cancel. So Any good thing about this program is cancelled by the owners lack of honesty and integrity, both values which he claims to install. Save yourself some time and money and look into the other studios in town. They are cheaper and better according to the people I spoke with
This school is the most professional school in the area. Mr. Hurley cares for his students and goes above and beyond to take care of his customers. Contracts are part of any professional service, and he works with his customers with any problems they may have. My daughter loves taking classes at ATA, and we are proud to be part of this great team!
ATA has changed my life! I have lost weight and become more confident. They teach more than just how to punch and kick, Taekwondo teaches focus, perseverance and balance in your life. I'm so glad I started with the ATA and can't wait to see how far I can go!
This Taekwondo school is great! Mr. Hurley is a great instructor who truly cares for all of his students. My daughter is excelling in Taekwondo and loves martial arts. She is happy that she came here and found her sport/art. Her self-confidence is growing more each day! If you want a place that will teach your children respect and help boost their self-confidence this is the place!!!
My husband and daughter both attend ATA in Conway. They both love it. My daughter has shown more respect, patience, and a louder voice (she's always been very quiet). All of the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
My boys have grown physically and mentally. They have thrived in martial arts! The environment is comfortable and the instructors are great!
