I used this particular agent for homeowners insurance due to a friend working there. Have yet to talk to the agent and when I did call to inquire on an issue I had ..i was not able to get into contact with him...fortunately I did get ahold of the corporate number ro take care of my issue and later was contacted by another agent in this office. So customer service by this particular agent is not anything I would recommend. Looking to switch as soon as possible to someone closer to home and with better customer service.

Mixed feelings about this business. No one can explain why my insurance went up 330 per 6 months of contract. Used to pay 1300 now almost 2000. No tickets nothing. SUV is 4 years old with only 30000 miles. They can't tell me anything but just give me the money. Shopping for another carrier come winter.

I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the unprofessional manner of the staff and Ryan. After being insured with them for years, I've found that none of the staff had the knowledge to describe and evaluate my policy each time I had an inquiry. Speaking with Ryan clarified the unprofessional nature of the staff as he tried to intimidate me when asking about the specifics of my policy. I would not recommend anyone to insure with Shelter unless you have ample time for confusion and low quality customer service. No one deserves to be disrespected especially when you are paying for a service.
