Lovely, small park. Well kept and the red Japanese bridge was such a delight to come across. It was a gloomy day but the bridge just glowed and was so lovely amidst the green. The paths are wide and the people seemed very friendly. Was just visiting from out of town. My dogs loved it too!

I was pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this hidden gem in Coos Bay. Every time we pass through Coos Bat we do it in a hurry - I’m ashamed to say - because the main downtown doesn’t hold anything that attracts us (the casino and busy bay scenes/mills/ships). However, I am SO glad we did a little more exploring this weekend to discover places like this. This garden is a breath of fresh air in Coos Bay and a lovely escape from the business of downtown. We came early March and all the cherry blossoms were beginning their bloom and some of the early spring bulbs were popping up. The Japanese garden is so calming and thoughtfully designed making for many picturesque moments. The bamboo forests and manicured gardens in stark contrast to the lush oregon forests were a dramatic effect. Can’t wait to come back here in the summer to see it all green and at its prime!
Beautiful park. Nice for walking. Good play ground for kids.
My wife and I stopped here to eat a sandwich on our way home from a few days at the beach. We were surprised that a small community had such a lovely park. It's small lake is surrounded with trails, picnic areas and a playground. Many varieties of trees were already starting to blossom on this day in late February.
Great park too get back to nature! Nice pond fed by a stream trickling through the park. Beautiful place to stop and take a walk, getting in touch with nature. I highly recommend this place!!!
