This place has excellent service! I was trying to get some new flooring and was debating between carpet and laminate and Pat Churcher was so knowledgeable and helpful! She explained the pros and cons of the different materials and the brands, told me about the promotions for one of the carpet choices that I was considering! I also like the fact that you can sign out the carpet or other flooring for a few days to take home to see how they fit with the rest of the decor of the house! She also showed me the list of local service people that gives discounts for Direct Buy members so I can find one for doing the installation! Without her help I am probably still debating on what to buy instead of having my carpet arrived and ready for installation!

So grateful for the informative assistance that Pat Churcher gave us as we are transitioning from the Lower Mainland to the Island. We were trying to decide if we should keep our Direct Buy membership and she was able to give us great information to help us make that decision. We have talked with various people via chat and phone who are connected to Direct Buy regarding a recent order. Pat was very helpful...actually all of them were very helpful. I got extra tips and tricks tutorials for online pricing also. I used DirectBuy for house renovations a few years ago and now using it for my condo. So far it’s flooring, fridge and dishwasher. My opinion of DirectBuy is that I seem to spend the same amount but I get a higher Quality product or brand name for the same

Membership is ideal for larger home renovations. Product lines are specific and don't change very frequently. The service has been consistently friendly and helpful over the years. Pat and Jim in particular are very dedicated and a pleasure to work with.
Yes we saved money on a new kitchen, but you still have to pay for the designer and installation. Appliances are harder to save a significant amount on as most stores have decent sales, and good luck if you need to replace an appliance asap. you are looking at weeks for delivery or should I say pick up from their warehouse for pay extra for delivery. They also charge a percentage of the price for every purchase plus shipping and handling. So by the time you are done you don't save quite as much as you thought. Four chairs took 3 months to arrive. So yes you can make up your membership fee, but you better have a ton of things you need, We have only just recouped ours, it took much longer than we thought.
