This course was an excellent experience. Joe was super patient and thoroughly helpful with the practical portion of the course. I would highly recommend taking this PAL and RPAL training through these instructors as both are highly qualified and skilled with their LE and military background. Also a special thanks to Terry, who provided valuable tips and suggestions throughout both days. Thanks, you guys. It was great!

Instructor is a retired VPD officer with personal stories and experience to back a course that teaches the theory and hands-on experience neccessary to gain a PAL license. Joe is excellent at describing course material, teaching step-by-step the need to know concepts in firearm history, function and safe handling. He's friendly and knowledgeable, creating a positive environment to learn and have a little bit of fun too. Stories of his experiences and the videos presented were my favorite. It was a good opportunity to learn how and why things go wrong, burning into your mind the importance of following the ACTS and PROVE methods. Highly recommended.

Both are excellent instructors. Especially Joe can explain to me the firearm terms in Mandarin which helps me to understand much more and much easier. You two are very professional and know how to teach different students. Thank you very much for your patience. And thank you for tolerating my slow response. I have learned a lot these 2 days and want to learn more from you in the future. maybe one day can follow you to the fire range to practice. Highly recommended!!!
The instructors, Tai and Raphael, were very knowledgeable and delivered the course content in an excellent fashion! What I appreciated most was the humble confidence they had in their own knowledge as they explained lecture concepts, as this helped carry over into the practical portion of class and I knew I would be taught correctly how to identify and safely manipulate various firearms. The tone set in the classroom environment was very professional and questions were always welcome. I noticed the instructors imparted very nuanced and balanced answers that don't just simply answer the student's question, but also provides specific facts to craft a comprehensive explanation. Strongly recommended!!
Clear, concise and practical- Joe uses examples from his very own experience with firearms which makes the course very interesting. Anyone could pick up the book and read what to do and what not to do, but the tricks and tips Joe shared were much more valuable. Highly recommend anyone to take this course if you want your license.
I attended CFSC & CRFSC Course under Joe Chu recently. I found the course very informative and updated. Joe is an experienced instructor and has very good knowledge of the subject. I highly recommend MetroVan Firearms training to anyone who is interested in taking the CFSC & CRFSC Course.
Joe was immediately responsive to questions before the PAL course I took, and did a fantastic job relaying the safety, and seriousness firearms. The course was really well laid out, and the demonstrations and practical practice was really useful. Highly recommend him for your PAL and RPAL course!
