I just wanted to share my experience at the Ubran Barn's Coquitlam Centre location today. I went in-store - there were 2 Sales Associate and they were at the cash register facing the front of the store where customers come in. None of them greeted me and didn't even bother looking up. I walked around the entire store - they noticed me but did not even offer assistance or even a "hello". I did notice they said 'bye' to a caucasion customer but as I was walking towards the door to leave, I see one of them look up - sees me - and proceeds to ignore me and continues to talk to the other SA - no 'bye' or' 'thanks for coming in'. Hm, is it because I am Asian? I do not look old enough to afford making a purchase there? This has left a very sour and bitter taste in my mouth and I would definitely not shop there ever again. I am sure if I have experienced this there are many more customers who have been treated the same way. Please properly train your staff or hire new employees. You would think during this pandemic that customer service would be top notch as a lot of retail stores have suffered from sales. I guess Urban Barn does not value their customers or respect different Ethnicities?

ok selection prices high on decor pieces and throws/cushions. But it was clean and felt really really safe for covid so i appreciated that a lot
They have most of everything you might need to furnish and spruce up your home prices are reasonable. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Had a really great shopping experience, staff were attentive and friendly, manager was amazing. Will definitely be back soon!
I had an amazing experience there. The store manager was super lovely and helpful with all my needs. If you need anything I would definitely recommend seeing her!
I can not say enough on how helpful the store staff are here. I have always been greeted, asked if I needed any help, and not pushed into a sale. They strive to get you the look you want, give good advice, and will locate a product for you on their system if they don't have it in store. Great service, friendly staff, and love the displays... AND DOGS ALLOWED! LOVE IT!

The customer service in this store is quite disappointing. We tried buying a desk but they had no system so we couldn’t pay for it or order it online. To help us out the clerk then promised we could call next day to buy it over the phone. So we did. However, this time they told us we couldn’t buying anything over the phone because it was not allowed. We were then encouraged to go back to the store. So we did. This time they told us that they didn’t have the desk in stock and we could either pay 70 extra for shipping to our home or go all the way to Annacis Island (one hour and a half away) to pick it up. When asked why can’t it be delivered to the store the clerk just replied “it doesn’t fit in our truck”. Ok! So then we asked about how big the box was and non surprisingly no information could be provided. The clerk finally processed our order and said package would arrive to the store in 2 weeks. Nonetheless she warned us that we should pick it up on the same day of arrival to the store as they don’t have space to keep it. After two weeks we received no phone call so when we called to the store they told us the product was in back order!!! We would have to wait one month extra to get it! No apologies from them, no timely updates, nothing. Unbelievable. Management is not helpful and staff definitely need more direction and training. We would not buy here again!
