We have been using Dimitra & Manos car hire three times a year for over ten years , the service has alway been excellent.Manos is alway on time when we arrive and the car is always spotless and in excellent condition.Over the years, Manos and his family have become true and valued friends. They really can not do enough for you. No other car rental company comes close , and I can't recommend them enough .
We hired a car from Dimitra & Manos Corfu Car Rentals which is on the main road in San Stephanos. What a huge mistake that was!!! They were very unprofessional, rude and unhelpful, if anything happens to the car whilst you are travelling - do not expect much help. The car was very underpowered for the Corfu roads and batteries did not hold their charge very well. We had to ring their office when the car did not start after visiting Paleokastritsa monastery, but they told us to try to sort things out ourselves. We could not get a mobile signal there so we were effectively stranded. Only after a few hours we found a cafe owner at the back of the Paleocatritsa aquarium attraction, who was so kind to talk to the rental company and asked them to use other local rental agents to help us. Unfortunately, they brought charging jump leads which were only a half full. The bar owner had to charge them at his bar for another hour trying to help us in our desperate situation - with nobody around speaking English and the rental company not willing to do much for us. At the end we were able to start the car and came back to our hotel. However, next morning the car did not start again at all. Once again, the owner came only 1.5 hrs later. By then we had enough and just wanted a refund for that day as we had no confidence at that car any longer. What is more - there was a warning engine light on at the dashboard. In response, the owner was quite rude to us up to the point of insulting. He also tried it on to charge us 60 for the faulty batteries. Eventually, we have got our refund but our day was totally ruined. No way after that performance we would recommend anyone to use them.
