The food is excellent, especially the soup of the day. I've had a few and each one was delicious. They use fresh herbs and have a really nice menu overall. Plus, they have beer on tap and a great selection of hot drinks (coffee/tea/lattes). The staff is friendly and Phil is always up for talking hockey. Best coffee shop and bistro in Cornwall.

We went to The Stomping Grounds for a retirement party yesterday. They were able to accommodate our entire group and even opened the restaurant on a day they were supposed to be closed. The service was amazing and the food was delicious! We had a soup, salad, and then our main course. I had the maple salmon which was the best I've ever had. The owner was serving as well and was very friendly and personable. He even asked our guest of honor what her favorite band was and played her favorite music overhead. This was a lovely experience and I will definitely be back.

Delicious, I want to come here every day. We had supper here and were served by the owner Phil. He is amazingly knowledgeable about everything food and we loved learning about the processes and origins of our dishes. We brought our 8 month old and he was incredibly accommodating. He brought out a couple small bowls of little fruits and veggies for the baby to eat, it was so kind of him. We're looking forward to dining here again.
