The business permit section acted fast on my problem wt a travel agency that cancelled our trip,we booked day before, bcoz they couldn't reach the quota of passengers for the daytrip.very appreciated! I just hope this office could act on the many negative reviews Coron is getting from tourists, including me,regarding tour agencies' unsatisfactory tour performances especially on time delays, guides who are all talk,so compressed time frame tourists can't fully enjoy the tour cos they are hurried by guides when,in d first place the tour started so late than promised.the tourism office could simply read and compile reviews and act on it to preserve the gud ratings of your beautiful place.i love Coron! Do something!

I was from here. This place has a lot of colorful history. The Famous Mt. Tapyas with its tall Cross is the icon of Coron, It was called tapyas because a Japanese warplane dropped a bomb here during the war destroying a portion of the hill. Thus called Mt. Tapyas. WW2 wrecks are sprawled around here because the Japs hid here believing their ships could be camouflaged better because of the color of limestone islands. Around 20min tricycle ride from this site is the Maquinit Hot Spring. It is a natural spring that is not only relaxing but also soothing. What makes this spring unique is that it is a salt water spring, and you dont find that very often. Another 20-30min boat ride is the Kayangan Lake once dubbed as the cleanest and greenest lake in the Philippines. Once there you will still be trekking around 10-15mins depends on your knees of course, before you could swim in the actual lake. I would love to describe the experience but I might run out of adjectives and superlatives. Just bring enough sun screen lotions in summer and OFF lotions by rainy season:) There you go. A place rich in history and natural wonders. A travel worth every dime. Its more fun in the Philippines, and it's definitely much more fun in Coron! :)
