A.D 1865. Long story. Many times modernized. In past time Martiño lighthouse was powered by olive oil, paraffin and acetylene. Now, it’s an old lighthouse with modern soul supplied by solar panels. The lighthouse keeper and his family used to live in the house of the lighthouse until the 1960s. Nowadays it’s a landmark and tourist attraction. I visited Punta Martiño, Lobos Island in February 2016.

Breathtaking views of Lobos, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote. Really worth the walk up here.
One of Fuerte’s lighthouses, situated in the North of Lobos Island, with a great view to Lanzarote on sunny days!
Samll now mechanised lighthouse on the northern tip of the island.
Nice views on Lanzarote, but you have to count with almost 1 hour walking from ferry harbour.
