I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident Our family has been extremely pleased with the care our loved ones have received at Farmington Courtyard. The rooms are cozy and inviting allowing the residents to add their own personal touches The common areas allow room for individual and group activities. We are particularly pleased with how quickly the nursing staff addresses any medical changes with the residents and keeping the family informed of the action being taken. Staff and administrators have all been very accommodating making sure that the residents are comfortable. Having our loved ones there has given us Peace of Mind.

When my bright, alert, and mobile 98 year old mother, who was suffering from dementia first moved in, the care, food, amenties, etc., were not great, but seemed adequate. I found a much better facility, and got her on their waiting list, but two months later, while I was still waiting for a room to become available, when her dementia got worse at night, they quickly moved her from their showcase building (there are four) to one of the three not-so-nice ones, and had their on-call psychiatrist (Dr. Theodore Ruza) prescribe powerful psychotropic drugs without ever seeing her, and without my permission, even though I had POA for her health care. Within 24 hours, she turned into an unresponsive zombie who was just propped up in a recliner chair, and slept all day. She could no longer walk or feed herself, and the staff did little to help her. She passed away a few weeks later, and to this day I deeply regret that I didn't take her out of there before it was too late. If you truly care for your beloved family member, keep looking!

I highly recommend Courtyard Manor Farmington Hills. When our family first learned our Mom required memory care we researched area facilities, arranged tours and met with Admissions staff of those facilities. Based on location and the family like atmosphere with a bright and cheery community room, Mom chose Courtyard Manor Farmington Hills. Little did we know at the time, what a perfect fit Courtyard Manor would be for our Mom. My personal experience has been very positive. Knowing our Mom is surrounded by a competent, caring, friendly and compassionate staff provides me a sense of comfort and peace of mind. Healthcare, diet and medication management have been very effective for our Mom, and on-site medical staff always keeps our family informed of any healthcare or safety related issues. This has been particularly appreciated during the Covid-19 pandemic. I would be remiss not to mention that one of the most beneficial aspects of this facility for our Mom has been the personal interaction from ALL staff, and the activities program offered by Courtyard Manor Farmington Hills. The Activities Director and Coordinator are very engaged with residents and provide a well balanced program of stimulating activities-- from group exercise, art, music, lectures, pet therapy and spa days to field trips and excursions...Mom's personal favorite. Thank you Courtyard Manor Farmington Hills! You are greatly appreciated!

Just wanted to say I recommend this facility if you have a loved one that has behavior issues. If there are no other options left for your loved one, please go here. They're small, homey and very loving staff. They will never kick out your loved one when behaviors flare. My father is there finally after 3 other homes kicked him out, Courtyard of Farmington does an excellent job with him. I only wish we had moved him in sooner. Recommend highly.
