A truly epic place to explore and enjoy the outdoors with courteous and friendly owners who provide all the amenities you'll require! I highly recommend trying this place as a top spot for a snowmobiling destination! We took a trip up and they are truly a one stop shop for everything you need, the cabins were quaint and clean with comfy beds the lodge has some of the best food around, I highly recommend the pizza and wings which were top notch! They have premium fuel on site and direct access from the cabin onto the lake and snoman trail access plus lots of off trail opportunities. The snow conditions were incomparable with anything in the southern part of the province truly on the next level. They owners were very helpful and I though the prices were very reasonable. The lodge is known as a great fishing destination as well and though I haven't been able to fish the lake yet I would definitely come stay at the lodge again, summer or winter give this place a shot for your next vacation!

Fantastic experience! My brother and I along with a few of our boys met my Gramps and Dad here for a 4 generation fishing trip! We were not disappointed. Paul and his family were top shelf hosts! We caught a lot of quality walleye fish every day we were there. The cabin was very rustic and comfortable. The nature was amazing. We seen black bears, bald eagles, loons, pelicans and much more. From the Burke family ——thank you for this experience. I have already booked sept long to bring up my own family from Calgary. Can’t wait!!! Thanks again Paul. Our experience Is unlike others and does not recommend Viking lodge. We are a family of 9 travelling together to Cranberry Portage to share with our family where it all began. You see my husband and I were students at the residential school back in the 70’s. We pulled into the campground and were given our sites. Our son backed his trailer in and would have struggled to open the side extension given the size of the site. Our granddaughter needed to use the washroom and we were told there were no facilities available because of Covid. The road was immediately in front of the trailers and the entire area was flooded. Sandflies galore. We are not a family who cannot make do but it would have been helpful if we were given a heads up on the lack of toilets and the flooded situation. We had paid for 2 sites for 2 nights. Disappointed we decided to pull out and look elsewhere. It was the August long weekend and other campgrounds were full. We ended up staying in friends driveway with access to a bathroom. Cranberry has had many fond memories but Viking Lodge was definitely not one of them.
Friendly staff, GREAT fries and I’ve heard pizza and burgers and excellent too (no gluten free / vegetarian burger option). Nice little shop right on 1st Cranberry Lake. Gas available. ️
This has been a family with friend tradition for years and the trip from Nebraska is worth it and the new owners are amazing and friendly around. Viking Lodge is a home away from home a easy 5 star to come to every year.
Reasonable accommodation and great fishing. Owners have great fishing advice.
