I would not recommend Altec for anybody as a work place. They do not care about their employees nor their families to the least. I know that they have several cases of the COVID-19 that have been dismissed from work yet they have allowed all the other workers to stay and continue their job without dismissing them and doing proper cleaning procedures. They are endangering families health and well being just to continue production. Shame on you, and your company.
This place is one of the most disrespectful, fear mongering, and condescending places I have ever had the displeasure to work at. I have never met so many people that are afraid to speak up when they are mistreated for the fear they will be fired or punished in some way. If you are a temp it is even worse. I remember a coworker was having a person of higher authority hurling expletives at them and they were told to not say anything or report it because they ran the risk of being fired since they were a temp. They seriously treat hard working temp workers like second class citizens. They claim to care about your safety but they truly only care about production. I am so glad that I quit this place, because it seriously is not a healthy environment. Upper management is highly dishonest with almost everything that they say. You work hard while they sit in air conditioning laughing and joking. Same with the lead men with the exception of a few. Be careful when applying.
Quick unloading on plate loads.
Altec (Creedmoor Location) has been a great company, so I've heard. As far as safety goes, this company excels in this one subject. Quality is amazing pertaining trucks, yet the problem is within their building departments. Hours should be set in place. Not a particular set of people (on first shift) not acting on their set job and leaving their work for other shifts. I figured these individuals would be still in a \temp\ position with this behavior. Again with hours, (pertaining this seems to be an issue), one should not come in at 1 am if he or she does not do any particular job until 4 am when the initial shift does not start until 6 am. These are only some of the many conditions that are unacceptable and within some shifts of \Leadmen\ and \Supervisors\, some change needs to be done. Before responding to this review, please take the time to evaluate what has been said in EACH department. Thanks.
