Fun for the family & Reasonable Pricing. It's important that kids get to see for themselves where real food comes from, and Lyon farms offers a variety of fruits that you can pick depending upon the time of year. We recently went strawberry picking and quickly filled up 3 baskets with the freshest looking strawberries that I have ever seen. We were very happy with the cleanliness of the farm and genuine kindness from the farmhands working that day. We will definitely be back.
Not just a farm, a family. Everyone who visits the farm is treated with a kindness and respect that is sorely lacking in the world today. Beyond that, they also provide one of the best picking experiences I've ever had, as long as you can follow simple directions and use a little common sense (if you are picking strawberries, you should know you went the wrong way when you get to the trees). Their produce is second to none and they have the best strawberries I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. If the 5 star review isn't enough evidence, I could not recommend Lyon Farms more.
Love Lyon Farms!! Yes, they have amazing strawberries in the spring. But then they have amazing blueberries and so many other kinds of veggies you need. You can visit their farm, or find them at the Durham Farmer's Market (during non-social distancing times...). I'm not sure how they do it but they always have the longest seasons for all their veggies and fruit. They will have strawberries those couple weeks after others have stopped producing and the same with their other veggies. All my interactions with those who sell for the farm have been wonderful. They are my first stop at the Durham Farmers Market.
Fresh fruits and vegetables! Huge farm with lots of options! Pick for yourself or buy already picked. Fresh peaches make the best cobbler! Fresh strawberries makes the most delicious shortcake!
