Great environment and location, car park at the back of the street which is convenience. Food wise, its very tasty but the presentation of the dish can be a little better, I ordered Spanner crab risotto and the gnocchi. The risotto just got spread on a plain plate without any decoration which looks like the portion is very small, and abit unattractive, but it taste very nice!!! Overall the food is very nice, just work on the presentation on the dishes!

Fantastic bar and restaurant. Food was incredibly unique and delicious. Wine list had great options. The service was the best I've experienced in ages. It's just a few doors down from the Orpheum, so the ideal place to meet before a show! Outstanding!

Had the most wonderful dinner at Barrel Bar and dining recently. It was an opportunity for me to get all my family together during difficult times. The atmosphere was excellent. The food was delicious and beautifully present. The staff was friendly and attentive and really looked after my elderly Mum which I really appreciated. Their knowledge of wine is way superior to many places I have been. I would recommend Barrel Bar and Dining for any occasion.

Love this place! It’s got such a fun vibe, the food is tasty and interesting, the wine list is always fun to go through. I really enjoy the happy hour and Ive been there for both dates, and big group functions! Everything always runs seamlessly, the open kitchen is fun to watch and I always end up having a giggle with the owners. Such a gem on the north side.

I have been going to Barrel Bar and Dining since it first opened, I do not usually write reviews. however!!!!! The food, to put it simply is amazing. Fresh produce which is easy to tell with each bite of each dish. It is about time I give credit where credit due. This place has an amazing aura and atmosphere, if you want to come for a quick drink with some mates, the wine selection is incredible, and the beers are ice cold. A dish I must recommend is the crispy cauliflower with tomato coulis and fresh grapes. it is an unusual but highly delightful mix of ingredients which blend in so well. The balance between sweet, sour, sweet, sticky and the right level of salty bite are well worthwhile. I tend to become very greedy with the lamb shoulder. whilst a generous serve, I still don't like to share. it is simply too good to leave on the table. I did not know what to expect with the Miso eggplant. but seriously!!! wow. I could eat a lot more of that. preferably trying to take some home. watching my brothers and I fight over the food would have been interesting to witness from the sideline. The oysters are as fresh as you can get in Sydney, the issue is they can't shuck them fast enough to keep up with us eating. absolutely stunning. Also a lovely spot for a date night, if you wanted to leave the kids at home or with a babysitter, or to impress a new date. Definitely need to visit. I feel the owners put in a lot of effort to make everyone feel very valued. I noticed this by the amount of people who knew the owners on a first name basis. I know I felt like royalty when the decanter came out with my bottle of red. In closing, if you have not been, you are missing out. I will be back as soon as I can. do not to forget to book, the restaurant is extremely popular. Thanks for an amazing night and one of more to come.
