I WAS GIVEN 2 OXTAILS WITH NOTHING BUT FAT AND BONE WHEN I ORDERED SMOTHERED OXTAILS AND GRAVY.POTATO SALAD TASTE STORE BROUGHT INSTEAD OF HOMEMADE.COLLARD GREENS CAME STRAIGHT FROM THE CAN WITH NO SEASONING AND FLAVOR . We came all the way to Syracuse to find a Good Soul Food Restaurant... We found One!!! The Owner was amazing and the food was delicious!!!Authentic Nawlins favorites
This place may be small in size, but the food is HUGE in flavor. I've had almost everything on the menu and it is all amazing!! The staff are sweet and you can wait in your car with a disk that sounds when your food is ready. I waited less than 10 minutes. Please try it, you won't be sorry. P.S. Their desserts are amazing!
Made two trips here today, my first and my last. I ordered the rice and beans with andouille sausage and the catfish dinner. The rice and beans dish looked like grey slop for pigs. After one bite of the catfish I immediately could tell something was very off about it and spit it out and tossed it, never had catfish taste like it came out of onondaga lake. The rice and beans tasted like it was cooked in swamp water. The food was basically inedible and was a waste of 30. Even if the food had been edible the disparity between what you actually get and what you pay is a very unbalanced. As someone who has worked in the food industry and was a chef, PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME AND TASTE BUDS AND EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE.
This is one of the best places to eat in Syracuse , NY I have been to friendly atmosphere, amazing food and all around phenomenal place to come to its creole st it's best you wont regret stopping in and trying a taste of the south as I did will be back loved every minute of it
