Absolutely perfect to watch the sea lions and enjoy a fresh dinner right on the coast line. Epic sunsets and wildlife, great place to take pictures and enjoy the day.

Even with the fog rolling in it was comfortable. Fascinating walking down among the fishing boats. Nice new dock since the tsunami years ago. This is a picture of hard work. Not yachts and leisure. Next time I bring my ice chest to grab tuna to can!! Also a very calm harbor to kayak if you can handle the fishy smell next to the boats:)

We stayed across the street from the marina and enjoyed walking around and seeing some of the sights in this beautiful city. There are great beaches, there were some Redwoods, very photogenic area. Enjoyed our stay, many restaurants, great people and very scenic would like to come back and take in more of the area.

Very clean & quiet tranquil. There were not many people there today. Not a good spot to go rock fishing or ground fish species seeking. But with the sandy bottom all around the pier, it is known to be a good spot for perch. Make sure of course to follow the tides as fish tend to bite on incoming tide mostly.

During part of our summer road trip from Tigard, Oregon down and around through Northern California we stayed at the Quality Inn and Suites (which I have also reviewed) in Crescent City. What’s great is that it is a very short walk from the hotel to the Crescent City Harbor District. What a great area to walk around in! I walked with our Vizsla and really enjoyed the beauty of the area as well that sense of peace and solitude. The area opens to a small beach as well. Worth checking out!
